The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Actor for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.

This performer will work alongside several other new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, such as head the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.

Though the role is a major member of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
