But the latest Battlefield is hoping to alter that.

This is the newest release in a long-running warfare game series often framed as a more authentic alternative to its main competitor.

The title has never quite been able to match its top opponent in terms of units sold or user base, but indicators suggest the recent entry could reduce the distance.

A trial event giving users a shot to test the game earlier this year set new benchmarks, and the hype leading up to its release has been immense.

Yet the undertaking is nevertheless a big gamble for company Electronic Arts, which has allegedly invested huge sums of funds making it.

Our team has spoken to several the developers to learn how they hope it will succeed.

Development Team and Company Partnership

Four teams have been creating the game under the collaborative umbrella.

This includes original series creator the Swedish studio, headquartered in Europe, Los Angeles-based Motive developers and the Canadian studio in North America.

The fourth, the Guildford team, is located in England.

Rebecka Coutaz is the executive of the two European studios, and explains to reporters that, in respect of what it's delivering gamers, "this new game is probably unbeatable."

Responding To Previous Errors

The new release comes off the back of the advanced the previous game, released previously to a poor reception it had difficulty to bounce back from.

"We most likely would not be able to make and develop Battlefield 6 absent the lessons we acquired in the previous title," the manager shares with the press.

As for the expectation on the crew, Fas states: "We feel pressure but additionally it's thrilling.

"This is a large project. It's probably the biggest that many of us have before participated in."

Young Talent Contributes Innovative View
