Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
