Followers Demand Detainment of Person Who Grabbed Ariana Grande

Passionate fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.
